Take a ride on the solar train. Visit the Railway Friendly Bar, known for its live music and local patronage. Play some lawn bowls. Have a workout at one of the many gyms. Smile and he nice to people.

Thanks Elizabeth, very glad you found it useful! It’s such a fantastic trip. We had historically always avoided it when driving south because of the time it would add to trips south. Took us way too long to discover it, but have made the trip 3 times since! Such a great drive, natural sights and drop in venues too.

Look forward to hearing about your trip when you can finally scratch that itch – let us know if you find any other gems along the way 🙂

Thanks Jeff for such a descriptive useful article on the your trip to Eden. Despite the long months in lockdown I’ve not felt the need to get away (with our garden & my art), but on stumbling upon your fantastic photos (where I had to initially click on to discover where it was taken) and hearing about all the great spots to visit (many that were new to me), I’m itching to get on THAT road again!

[…] Recomandata de Kristen si Jeff Miller de la Our Passion For TravelCuibarita in inima Transilvaniei, salina Turda este una dintre cele mai interesante locuri din Romania.Aceasta salina exista de peste o mie de ani si, cu toate acestea, exploatarea sarii s-a oprit in 1932. Redeschisa in 2010, acum atrage turistii care vor sa invete despre procesul de extractie a sarii sau sa se distreze in parcul de distractii subteran. Daca te-ai întrebat vreodata cum este sa te dai intr-o roata mare sub pamant (oare si-a pus cineva aceasta intrebare?!), acum ai sansa sa traiesti aceasta experienta. Alte activitati din salina includ tenis de masa, bowling si mini-golf. Poti merge apoi sa vizitezi insula subterana de sare si sa te plimbi cu barca pe apa. Aceasta este partea cea mai frumoasa si probabil te va lasa cu gura cascata!Amatorii de istorie au oportunitatea de a vizita si diferite zone ale minei si de a afla totul despre evolutia mineritului de sare in Romania. Asigura-te ca nu ratezi mina losif, unde poti auzi cel mai puternic ecou. Daca iti strigi numele aici, acesta rasuna de aproximativ 20 de ori.Mina de sare Turda este situata cam la 45 de minute cu masina de Cluj Napoca si reprezinta o oprire perfecta in cadrul unui road trip prin Romania.
